FIRST ON WITN: Body found in New Bern's Trent River

New Bern police confirm that a body has been found in the Trent River.
The first call came in around 12:45 p.m. after someone called police to report a body was in the river near the DoubleTree Hotel.
Lt. Doug Ipock says the discovery is under investigation and they can't release any more information at this time.
The body was taken to CarolinaEast Medical Center for examination.
