Big Foot has been found living in the mountains of Western North Carolina.

The six-foot statue of Sasquatch was found Thursday in the woods in Avery County some 37 miles from where it was last seen two months ago.

It was stolen from a landscaping company in Linville where the 180-pound statue stood out front greeting passersby on Highway 105.

Deputies got a tip that Sasquatch was located and it was found unharmed in a remote area. Deputies say the thieves either had a change of heart or discovered that living with Sasquatch was more difficult than they thought.

Sasquatch is now living at the Avery County Sheriff's Office under the watch of a security camera. It seems an insurance claim has already been paid to the landscaping company for the stolen Big Foot, so it looks like the insurance company will have to determine where Sasquatch's new home will be.
