Bethel man charged with attempted murder

PITT COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - A convicted felon is back behind bars on an attempted murder charge.

Bethel police arrested Derrick Berry, 37, of Bethel on Monday. He's charged in a shooting that happened in Bethel last month.

According to arrest warrants, he shot at another person back on November 3. It's unclear at this time whether or not anyone was injured.

Berry is facing a number of charges, including attempted murder.

He's being held under a $1 million bond at the Pitt County Jail.
