PITT COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - There is new information about the arrest of a 26-year-old man from Beaufort County for a shooting this past weekend in Pitt County.
Pitt County deputies say Marquis Davis came into a home Sunday afternoon on Pam Drive without permission and caused a confrontation with residents.
Davis is accused of assaulting a woman and having a fistfight with a teenager.
They say the man went to his vehicle, got a handgun and then began to chase the teen, firing rounds at him before getting away.
Deputies found empty shell casings and one bullet hole in the home.
Davis was found Wednesday on Tabitha Lane in Greenville.
He is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, go armed to terror of people, assault on a female, breaking or entering, discharging a weapon into occupied moving vehicle, possession of a firearm by felon, and possession with intent to sell/deliver cocaine.
Davis' bond was set at $1.01 million.
Deputies say Davis has been previously convicted of assault with deadly weapon charges from 2017 and had been sentenced to about a year and a half to two and a half years in jail.
