Bear Grass Ruritan Club gearing up for 50th Club Auction Sale

BEAR GRASS, NC (WITN) - The Bear Grass Ruritan Club is gearing up for its 50th annual Club Auction Sale to raise money for local community projects.

The club exists to fill local needs in the community. The group cuts and delivers firewood to elderly and others in need, builds free wheelchair ramps and offers three scholarships to high school students every year.

Everything from farming equipment to exercise equipment will be auctioned off at the Farmers Market in Williamston on Saturday, February 10.

The club is collecting donations of items to be auctioned from 7:30am-4:30pm Friday.

The auctions starts at 9am Saturday and bidders are encouraged to arrive early to get bidder's numbers and see what is for sale. There will be coffee, sausage dogs and other foods for sale and chicken mull available starting at 10:30am.

The Williamston Farmers Market is located beside the Highway Patrol station on old Hwy. 64.
