GREENVILLE, NC (WITN) - The City of Greenville is throwing its support to the ECU Pirate baseball team as it hosts its second straight NCAA regional baseball tournament this weekend.
Batter Up'Town is a free pop-up party celebrating the team with performances by Mikele Buck and country music star Craig Campbell.
There will be food, drinks and children's activities at Five Points Plaza in Uptown Greenville from 6-9pm.
"The city is excited to continue our expansion of entertainment options by collaborating with community partners to bring Craig Campbell to the Uptown district," Greenville Mayor P.J. Connelly said. "It's appropriate to have an artist of his caliber headline this special event, and and we hope the community will come out and join us for great music and a celebration of ECU's successful baseball season and another NCAA Baseball Regional coming to Greenville."
The Pirate baseball team enters the postseason as then 10th overall national seed. The tournament begins on Friday with ECU playing Quinnipiac at 6pm.
