Missing Greensboro girl found safe

Greensboro police say that the case of missing 3-year-old Ahlora Lindiment has ended with a positive result as she has been found safe.

According to authorities, the child was found around 8 p.m. outside of a Christian center in relatively good shape.

Police say they received a tip she was there and they went there and found her.

She was taken to the hospital to be checked out and then reunited with her family.

Police said they are still searching for the suspected abductor.

At this time they do not have a positive I.D. on who she is.

As the search continues for a 3-year-old girl who was allegedly kidnapped from a playground in Greensboro last night, police have released pictures of the suspect.

Police say the unknown woman kidnapped Ahlora Lindament while she was playing on a merry-go-round.

Investigators released photos of the woman who they are now calling a suspect taken from surveillance video near the scene as well as a nearby store on Phillips Avenue.

Ahlora is about two feet tall and weighs 40-pounds.

She was last seen wearing a short sleeve pink t-shirt, black jeans, and white sandals.

Family and friends say Ahlora was playing with her siblings when a woman approached and took her.

The man who was supposed to be watching them was inside.

More than a dozen police officers are going door to door with fliers asking for information.

Neighbors have also put together a spontaneous search party, passing our their own fliers near a local library.

Investigators said Ahlora was taken by a black woman in her 20s who is about 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs about 135 pounds. Her hair was in a short ponytail, police said. The woman was wearing a black short-sleeved crop top; black pants with tiger-face prints on them, a yellow stripe on one leg and a white stripe on the other leg; dark flip-flops; and a gold chain.

A reward of $2,000 is now being offered.

An Amber Alert has been issued as the Greensboro Police Department is searching for a missing child:

Police are looking for three-year-old Ahlora Ashanti-Sample Lindiment, who is a black female, approximately 2 feet tall, weighing 40 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a short-sleeved pink t-shirt, black jeans, and white sandals. Her hair is braided with multi-colored beads.

Police say the unknown abductor is described as approximately 20 years old, black, female, 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing 135 pounds. She was wearing a gold necklace, black short sleeve crop top, tiger print pants with a yellow stripe, dark flip flops. She had a short ponytail.

The child was abducted from 2411 Phillips Ave, Greensboro and last seen traveling northwest from that location.
