Allstate Insurance collects supplies for flood victims in Greenville

While working with their clients through the flood, several Allstate Insurance offices have also been working to aid community members who don't have insurance.

Allstate Insurance has used their Greenville office as a donations center for the last two weeks to try and help collect supplies for those who have lost much of what they owned.

Insurance Agent Derek Perry said, "having lived through Floyd it was pretty simple in most of our minds, you know, what we had to do."

Perry, along with fellow Allstate agents Carmen Jones, Matt Smith and Financial Representative Kelly Spicer, all requested help on social media and opened their doors in Greenville, Kinston and Goldsboro to collect donations.

"We're all small business owners. We've chosen to live here, to work here, to raise our children here so we're deeply invested in our community," said Matt Smith.

Certain Allstate agencies will continue collecting goods for those in need and are directing those without insurance to other resources like FEMA.
