SILVER ALERT CANCELED: Missing Greene County woman found safe

GREENE COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - The Greene County Sheriff's Office says Chumani Harris has been found and was safely returned to her family.

Harris was found off of True Vine Road in Wayne County near the Greene County line, Sheriff Lemmie Smith said.

The Sheriff's Office would like to thank everyone involved in her return.

A Silver Alert has been issued for a missing Greene County woman.

The Greene County Sheriff's Office says Chumani "Chu-chu" Harris was last seen in the area of 1025 Pope Farm Road in Stantonsburg.

She is a 21-year-old black female, weighs around 98 pounds, and is 5 feet 7 inches tall.

Harris was last seen wearing a purple jacket with yellow stripes on the arms, light blue pajama pants, and no shoes.
