Police in Greenville say an Air Force airman has died following a motorcycle crash.

Greenville Police say that it happened around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 3400 block of Frontgate Drive.

Officials say that Temoor Lodhi, 21, was riding a newly purchased motorcycle in the parking lot of the apartment complex where he lived. At some point, officers say Lodhi lost control of the bike and collided with a nearby tree.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Lodhi was an airman stationed at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, according to police.
