AMBER ALERT: Child found safe; police ID suspected abductor

HIGH POINT, N.C. (WITN) - High Point Police are now looking for an Archdale man who they say abducted a one-year-old boy on Sunday.

Officials say Legend Goodwine was found in Davidson County by the sheriff's office. Police say the stolen vehicle used in the abduction was found as well.

Police say the child's mother left her vehicle running and unlocked when she went into a business on South Main Street. The child was asleep in the back seat.

Michael Enochs, 54, has now been identified as the suspect in the abduction.

An Amber Alert has been issued for a missing 1-year-old from High Point.

Investigators are looking for Legend Goodwine. He's about two feet tall and 20 pounds and was last seen on the 1100 block of S. Main Street in High Point. He was wearing an orange tank top and had a Ninja Turtle blanket.

Officials say he may have been allegedly abducted by a white man with brown hair and brown eyes, who was last seen wearing a light blue shirt with jeans, a gray and white hat and dark colored shoes. His name hasn't been released, and there's no word on which direction they may be heading.

They might be traveling in a gold 2000 Acura with North Carolina plate FES4626. If you spot them or have information, call 911 or the High Point Police Department at 336-833-3224.
