An upcoming concert will honor the rich heritage of African American music in Eastern Carolina.

The Pitt County Arts Council will be hosting two free concerts at Emerge Gallery in Greenville on Friday, November 8 as part of their African American Music Series.

Marshall Keys, a legendary saxophone player who has played alongside Stevie Wonder, will be this month's guest artist.

A house band made up of ECU students and alumni will also perform.

The concert is free and runs at 7 p.m. and again at 8 p.m. at Emerge Gallery on Evans Street.
