Dixon High School - Daniel Cucino

I am Daniel Peter Cucino, I was born in Bronxville, New York and moved to North Carolina at a very young age. I have one sibling, my sister, Casey. I attend Dixon High School, where I am the Student Body President and Mascot. My favorite thing about Dixon is the fact that the teachers truly care about the students here. The teachers at Dixon try their absolute hardest to help students, and I have never seen one give up. I am an Eagle Scout, I joined scouting at the rank of tiger, the lowest, and pursued it to the end, Eagle. A main reason I was so dedicated to scouting was because of my mother and father pushing me so hard to accomplish Eagle. My mother passed away when I was 6 and I did not realize it at the time but that gave me my drive and motivation to continue through scouting. I was raised by my father, who taught me I could do anything I set my mind to, and if there is an obstacle in the way, move it to the side and keep pushing. Being raised with such self-confidence makes me want to pursue a degree in law and become a politician. I believe this country needs good men and women who care about it to be representing it, and one day I aspire to be the President of the United States.
