Creswell High School - Kayleigh Eden Olecki

My name is Kayleigh Eden Olecki, my hometown is Plymouth, Massachusetts and I am a senior attending Creswell High School. I moved here in 2005 with my family into a small class of nine students. My family is large, loving and I couldn’t have gotten to where I am today without them. My father is James Olecki who works for the state and my mother is Jean Olecki who is the administrative director of a non profit art gallery. I am a middle child of five kids. I get a lot of my art expressionism from my mother as she has done a lot of art like photography and drawing and passed the hobby down to me. With such a small class, I was often very shy. I started doing volunteer work and I received the Silver level President's Volunteer Award this year for 200 hours f community service. It has altogether shaped who I am and developed my leadership skills to where I was my school's leadership ambassador for HOBY NC East 2015. I am proud of my accomplishments and hope my fall admission into college with offer many more opportunities to help those around me and grow my character.

IF YOU WERE STRANDED ON A DESERTED ISLAND AND COULD ONLY TAKE ONE ITEM WITH YOU, WHAT WOULD IT BE?: My first obvious answer would be a boat, but that’s cheating. It would have to be my laptop because I could stay connected to the world around me and still do what I love doing most.
