BIOGRAPHY:

Hello there. My name is Eric Daniel Martinez. I am 19 and live in Washington, NC. My favorite hobbies are acting, singing, doing stand-up comedy, and playing video games. I plan on going to ECU when I graduate and getting a BFA in Theatre with a concentration in Professional Acting. When I think about my life up to this point, the word that comes to mind is “blessed”. I have a loving family that have supported me throughout all my endeavors, great friends that I share some of my best memories with, and passionate teachers who truly cared about my education. That is not to say that my life has always been sunshine and roses. There were times where I felt intensely angry, frustrated, and vulnerable. Where it seemed like all my hard work had gone to waste and I felt like a complete fool. But I needed to go through this struggle, to know what defeat was, so that I could come out a stronger, more independant person. A song that perfectly encapsulates this feeling is the song “My Way” by Frank Sinatra. In it, he states that while life has kicked him down more times then he can remember, he still has no regrets at the end of the day since he lived his life on his own terms. He was no sheep blindly following the crowd. He made his own path and choose his own destiny. And that’s what I’ll do too. I’ll live my life my way.
