Chris Cooke
Producer

Chris’ career with WITN started in June of 2023. Before he came to news, Chris studied at East Carolina University where he received a bachelor’s degree in communications. Chris grew up right here in eastern North Carolina - originally from Williamston. He went to Martin County High School back when it was still called Riverside High School. During his time at ECU, Chris got familiar with broadcasting by becoming a radio producer and host. He hosted three shows on ECU’s student radio before moving on to commercial radio where he worked as a producer and co-host for ECU sports shows.
While juggling college classes and his broadcasting career - Chris was also a professional wrestler from 2017-2022 where he traveled all over the east working on the “semi-pro” level. Trained by wrestling legend George South, Chris performed for various companies until he decided to retire from the wrestling business to put all of his focus into his broadcasting career.
