High winds send sand across Highway 12 on Pea Island

PEA ISLAND, N.C. (WITN) - According to NCDOT, strong sustained winds are causing sand to build up across Highway 12 on Pea Island.
NCDOT says that crews will be on the highway clearing the sand periodically all week.
