Two men charged with murder in 2020 Carteret County overdose death
CARTERET COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - Deputies said two men are facing charges for the overdose death of a woman in 2020.
The Carteret County Sheriff’s Office said that Jonathan Norman, 34, of Gloucester, and Willis Nelson, Jr., 40, of Harkers Island, were both charged on Tuesday with 2nd-degree murder.
Detectives said the men sold opiates laced with fentanyl that killed 30-year-old Brittany Pake back on May 26, 2020.
Norman was already behind bars on 14 drug charges when he was served with the murder charge.
Both men are being held on a $500,000 bond.
