Jim’s First Alert Forecast: Another heat advisory Friday
Temps will approach heat advisory status on Saturday as well
Forecast Discussion: An area of high pressure will set up over the southeast this week bringing plenty of heat with it. High humidity levels will make the mid 90s on the thermometer feel like 102-107° again on Friday. The heat wave will break on Sunday with returning rain chances as well.
Drink plenty of fluids, spend plenty of time in the air-conditioning, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Young children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles. The heat wave will persist through Saturday before the heat breaks and rain chances return on Sunday.
Tropical Depression Fred is tracking just north of Cuba on Friday. The storm is still expected to track towards northwestern Florida late in the weekend. At that point we expect it to have strengthened back to storm status again.
