JACKSONVILLE, N.C. (WITN) -The City of Jacksonville has agreed to a new budget and says taxes will not be going up.

Jacksonville City Council voted to approve a nearly $110 million budget.

Property taxes will not be raised, but city council did approve a more than two-percent water and sewer rate increase.

Sanitation fees will also increase by $2.00 a month for residential and small business customers.

Jacksonville city officials say the budget will be focused heavily on infrastructure with more than a million dollars going towards street paving.
