LENOIR COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - A dangerous Lenoir County intersection got safety improvements on Monday after state workers installed a four-way stop.

The North Carolina Department of Transportation crews converted Wallace Family Road at Tilghman Mill Road to an all-stop intersection.

On April 20th, Antonio and Regina Rhem, of Kinston, were killed in a crash at that intersection.

Kimberly Barrett was charged in the case with death by motor vehicle and failure to stop at a stop sign.

On Tuesday, crews will convert two intersections along Falling Creek Road.

The first is at Pauls Path Road, then they will move to the intersection with Fred Everett Road.

All the changes should be complete by Tuesday afternoon.
