Carteret County’s Leon Mann Enrichment Center reopens Monday
CARTERET COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - There is another reminder in Carteret County that life is slowly getting back to the way it was before the COVID-19 pandemic. On Monday, April 12, the Carteret County Aging Services at the Leon Mann Jr. Enrichment Center reopens with modified services and hours and enforced safety measures.
Director of Human Services Jaime Long says employees will do temperature checks, enforce wearing masks, and add extra cleanings at the facility. They also require participants pre-register for activities.
Beginning Friday, April 9, participants can call 252-247-2626 to register for up to two activities (not including lunch service) for the week of April 12. Center leaders say lunches are for members that have already enrolled in the lunch program, but anyone 60 or older can call to register for the lunch program if not currently enrolled.
There are also other limited activities with pre-registration.
On Friday, April 9, from 10:00 am -12:00 pm, seniors can get printed information about the reopening at the Leon Mann Jr. Enrichment Center drive-through event.
