POLICE: Minivan slams into house after driver has medical emergency

WINTERVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - Code enforcement officers will check the damage done to a house after a minivan hit it Wednesday afternoon.
Winterville police say the crash happened around 12:45 p.m. on Mill Street.
Officers say the van, with two people inside, ran off the right side of the street, crossed a ditch, went through the yard and hit the house.
The driver had a medical emergency, according to police. The driver was taken to Vidant Medical Center for the medical problem that caused the crash.
Several people were inside the home at the time, but no one was hurt.
The minivan received significant damage, while it left a sizeable hole in the side of the home.
Police say because the driver had a medical problem there will be no charges filed in the crash.
