We will announce a Weather Authority Alert Day whenever severe weather is imminent, BEFORE it affects Eastern Carolina.

This advanced warning will give you and your family time to prepare for a severe weather event, so you can remain safe as the severe weather hits.

How Will I Know When It Is A Weather Authority Alert Day?

WITN-TV will display alert messages, informational tickers along the bottom of the screen and provide live coverage during the height of the storms. Watch for the the following logo to appear on-air, on the web, and on your mobile devices.
