BERTIE COUNTY: Flooding In Downtown Windsor

We are getting reports of some flooding in downtown Windsor in Bertie County.

Some residents in Windsor say the same areas that flooded last September with Tropical Storm Nicole are flooding once again.

WITN talked with the fire chief in Windsor who said all streets were open as of 9:00 p.m. Saturday and termed the flooding as minor at this point.

Several feet of water last fall caused the Cashie River to swell and flood the town.

Prior to Irene Windsor officials said the river level was lower than it was last fall, and they were better prepared for Irene.
