Updated: Mon 9:05 PM, Aug 29, 2011

Because of possible contaminated water, Pamlico County's health director has ordered all restaurants and food service establishments to immediately stop serving food.

The county says this order remains until further notice.

Other water customers are under a mandatory boil water advisory and mandatory water conservation orders. They are working on getting bottled water and food to the fire departments by this evening.

The county says most of its 13,000 residents and businesses remain without power.
