Necessities Available Free For Pamlico County Residents

Pamlico County was hit hard by Hurricane Irene and residents there will be able to get necessities Thursday morning, free from a non-profit group.

Churches of Christ Disaster Relief unloaded $77,000 worth of food, cleaning supplies and other necessities, including diapers, at the Hobucken Community Center Wednesday.

Organizers say anyone in need of assistance is welcome to pick up the free items starting Thursday at 8:00 a.m. at the community center.
