thanks so much for your live coverage of Irene.I am a "refugee"..that's what folks here in durham call me... Only way I wa sa ble to sleep the last 2 nights wa sto watch your broadcast on the internet,,,what a relief to see and hear the REAL assessment of things and not watch some bozo having his parka blown off because he was stupid enough to stand in the surf with 90 mile winds blowing and blasting into a mike that only emphasized the power of those winds...Kudos to you all for helping those of us{ who had to leave property and personal belongings behind } weather this storm from afar.

So refreshing to hear accurate information and in cases of "projection from computer probabilities" telling people so. This keeps people from acting in fear and preparations are made safely and sanely. Even your parent network was into the sensationalism last night that only bears panic. Thank you WITN and Jim, you in particular!
