LENOIR COUNTY: State Of Emergency, Landfills Closed

Lenoir County is now under a state of emergency.

Lenoir County Landfills will not be open Saturday. They will reopen to normal business hours Monday.

Officials recommend residents in low-lying areas or substandard
housing and mobile homes should seek shelter.

A shelter is open at Lenoir Community College, with adjacent pet shelter availability.
