Flights Ending At Area Airports

Flights are coming to a halt at Pitt-Greenville Airport Friday night as well as Albert J. Ellis Airport located in Jacksonville.

Airport Director Jerry Vickers says commercial airline operations will stop this evening after US Airways Express Flight #2502 departs at approximately 8:03 PM.

He says all US Airways Express flights for Saturday have been canceled.

Many of the departing passengers on Friday said they were leaving because of the storm.

Albert J. Ellis Airport located in Jacksonville has cancelled majority of its flights departing after 4:00 p.m. Friday. The airport says all other flights have been cancelled through early Sunday morning.
