Beaufort County: Food And Water Heading To Storm Victims

Beaufort County south side residents will soon see more relief efforts.

Interim Manager, Jim Chrisman, says the Red Cross and Salvation Army are serving hot meals to those hardest hit.

National Guard members also are handing out Ready to Eat meals and bottled water to residents.

Chrisman says they're working on providing staging areas to provide further aid to residents throughout the county. That information will be announced at a later time.

He says if there are any individuals who need of services, they should call their Emergency Operations Center at 252-946-2046.
