While the path of Tropical Storm Arthur is uncertain, plenty of people are getting ready for the worst.
One Atlantic Beach hotel tells WITN they've been preparing since the beginning of the week. The DoubleTree says they remain cautiously optimistic about the storm's impact, but that they aren't taking any chances.
Hotel staff say they are booked to capacity for the Independence Day weekend. General Manager Tom Bowen says Arthur has caused some to back out.
"A couple of cancellations, but they've been picked up by people coming in," says Bowen.
Bowen says the DoubleTree has coordinated safety plans with the city, police and fire departments.
Atlantic Beach fireworks have been rescheduled for 9:00 p.m. Saturday.
