A Few Slick Spots Possible Early Friday

Patchy light rain will approach eastern Carolina late Thursday night. With temps dipping close to freezing, isolated icy spots may develop early Friday.

Light freezing rain will be possible from about 4:00 to 9:00 am Friday. Isolated slick spots will be possible generally along and west of highway 17. The potential for a thin coating of ice will be confined to bridges and overpasses. Open stairways, walkways and railings may also develop a thin coating of ice.

The threat will diminish after 9:00 am as temps slowly lift into the mid 30s.
