Hurricane Alex

Alex is now the seasons first hurricane with maximum winds of 85 mph.

Alex has sustained winds of 85 mph and is moving to the NW at 12 mph. Its current coordinates are 23.8 N-95.5 W with the central pressure at 961 millibars.

The latest forecast track still brings Alex onshore near the Texas-Mexico border Thursday morning as a category 1 or category 2 hurricane.

The exact track and strength of the storm could change a bit, but at this point it should remain to the west of the oil spill.

Snake Oil, you are more obsessed with Obama than BP, The oil company is to blame for the spill, not Obama. You neglect to mention that one small fact. Your fairness and credibility sucks!

I'm expecting this to be a very active hurricane season, considering how much warmer it's been than it usually is. To concerned individual, I think there are several people who don't care who gets offended. They will mention something regardless of who they offend.

Obama can not fix a oil spill? He can not find Osama bin Laden. He lost the war in Viet Nam , sorry Afganistan. If this Hurricane hits the USA , will Obama go on vacation , and go and play Golf again? I am still waitng for my $$$$$ from the Rich people. I wonder how many fools believed in that election lie? We will even get a dime from Obama?

Many of the people affected by Katrina refused the help that was offered because basic food and shelter wasn't good enough, some shot at rescue helicopters and boats, and nearly all were offered a way out includnig a shelter of some sort to go to BEFORE the storm hit. If you're ivnig below sea level and a hurricane comes, I offer you help, you refuse, I'm not coming back for you at all. Let alone when I took the trip down there with the relief effort and was spit upon, cursed and shot at. The people that were "left behind" with that hurricane refused a way out and most didn't deserve a rescue effort....

Concern Individual, then tell us all why he didn't send the skimmers? Tell us why there is oil on the beaches? If a hurricane comes close to them and gas costs you 5 dollars a gallon, will you understand why so many are against this worthless leader? The president is so corrupt, he turned away Dutch skimmers since the Jones act, wouldn't allow non union boats to do the job. So, how good is he now? Do you not understand what is going on or is it warmer in the city....my god, out of touch people...
