Remembering Hurricane Floyd

September will mark 10 years since Hurricane Floyd and its floodwaters ravaged eastern Carolina.

Emergency personnel gathered Wednesday in Greenville to discuss evacuation plans and what to do if another storm like Hurricane Floyd came to eastern Carolina.

A key topic -- the importance of making people aware of all the resources available to them.

Emergency management coordinator Mark Brown said it's also critical for people to remember what can happen and to be prepared.
