Pitt Memorial Hospital officials met Thursday to discuss emergency plans in case the storm impacts the area and the hospital.
The Pitt County Memorial Hospital preplanning meeting involved several members of the hospital staff who talked about having things ready to prepare for disaster. Hospital officials say if a power outage occurs -- they have plenty of generators to run business as usual.
PCMH Emergency physician Dr. Tim Reeder says, "Mostly we are making sure the patients are being taken care of, that our staffing is going to be adequate and that we have the resources to take care of them."
The staff at PCMH says the hospital is running like normal and if Hanna hits they'll ensure patients who are released have a safe place to go.
