2010: Matthew Weakens; Lisa Now A Tropical Depression

Matthew is now a tropical depression over the Yucatan area of Mexico. Significant rain continues to fall in that region. Some of the moisture from Matthew could make its way towards eastern Carolina in the days ahead. Matthew has 35 mph winds with movement to the northwest at 14 mph.

Tropical Storm Lisa continues to weaken in the eastern Atlantic. At 7:00 am Lisa was located at 23.7 N and 28.4 W with 50 mph winds. Movement was north at 12 mph. Lisa is not expected to be a threat to any land areas.

    I agree with anyman. Oprah and Al will probably try to tie these storms in to global warming. Just let me know about the storm the day before everybody starts buying bread and milk.
