A quick moving system brought snow to Eastern Carolina between 11:00 p.m. Thursday and 2:00 a.m. Friday.
Areas west of Highway 17 saw no accumulations, while areas east to the coast saw a dusting on grassy surfaces and porches. Some areas, like Trent Woods in Craven County, received more than an inch.
No more snow is in the forecast for Eastern Carolina this afternoon and any snow will melt shortly after sunrise.
Travel problems are unlikely with temperature warming past the freezing point. Regardless, slow down a bit on bridges and overpasses where the roads are wet.
