Cold And Wet Friday Forecast

Light rain will continue to impact the area this afternoon. Showers will be light with better rain chances tonight. Highs today will only warm into the mid 40s with a calm easterly wind. Highs through the weekend show some improvement with the mercury hitting the 60s on Sunday.

After a brief period of sleet, most precipitation from the morning quickly turned over to all rain. Wet roadways will be a concern this afternoon as cloud cover will keep evaporation at a minimum. During the evening commute, more rain is expected to move back into eastern Carolina. Freezing conditions are not anticipated overnight and into the weekend.
