Chilly Breeze, Clear Skies

Sunshine and breezy conditions will be the rule for the rest of Thursday and into Friday, with wind chills remaining in the 40s. Afternoon highs will reach the lower 50s.

The winds will relax over the weekend with plenty of sunshine bumping the highs into the upper 50s Saturday to the low 60s on Sunday.

Coastal Flood Advisory: A Coastal Flood Advisory will remain in effect for Outer Banks Dare and Hyde counties through 7pm Friday. Gusty northwest winds will raise water levels up to 2 feet above normal along the sound-side of the Outer Banks over the next few days, especially around high tide (3pm & 3am). Localized flooding will be possible in low lying areas along the Sounds.
