A low pressure system will push up the coast this afternoon and increase the rain chances for coastal communities. Most locations west of highway 17 will see up to .5" of rain, but sustained winds of 10-15 mph will be possible for all of eastern Carolina today and tonight.
Highs Sunday will hover around 60° and overnight temperatures will drop to the upper 40s.
Rain chances for the coast won't taper off until Monday afternoon when the low pressure moves away from the coast. Highs on Sunday will reflect the cloud cover and only warm into the upper 50s.
Thanksgiving Travel Forecast (Sunday-Tuesday):
West- Skies will remain clear and dry, no travel hazards unless flying to the west coast
South- Rain showers are hugging the immediate coast south of Wilmington. Travel hazard, wet roadways
North- High pressure will keep the area cloud free, no travel hazards
