Warm And Humid With A Risk For Showers On Friday Across Eastern Carolina

A stationary front across the area caused more showers and a few thunderstorms across eastern North Carolina on Thursday. The front will remain stationary overnight then gradually dissipate on Friday. Warm and moist air will remain over the area causing more showers on Friday. The atmosphere will gradually dry out over the weekend leading to less shower activity and more sunshine. Highs will reach the middle to upper 80s Friday afternoon then warm to 90° or lower 90s both Saturday and Sunday. Only isolated storms are expected over the weekend.
