A cold front will sweep off the North Carolina coast early Thursday ending the threat for showers. Drier air will follow the front although afternoon temperatures will still be quite warm. We'll see mostly sunny skies with highs in the upper 80s inland and middle 80s on the beaches. The less humid air will make those 80s feel a bit more comfortable. Dry conditions will last into Friday although another cold front will bring showers by the weekend.
