A winter weather advisory is in effect until 7am on Saturday for Beaufort, Mainland Hyde, Martin, Outer Banks Dare, Tyrrell, Washington and western Dare County. The threats are black ice and slick roadways.
The sunny skies we enjoyed Saturday and Sunday will carry over to the first half of the work week. This will continue to boost temperatures to the upper 70s by Monday and send some areas in to the 80s by Tuesday.
A cold front will swing through the area Friday, bringing rain and cooler temperatures for the weekend, but highs should not drop too far below our average of 70°.
