Heat And Humidity Start Building Tuesday

The previous couple of days have been beautiful here in eastern North Carolina with cool temperatures and low humidity levels.

More typical June weather will return for the remainder of the week with increased humidity levels along with temperatures at or above average.

Tuesday afternoon temperatures will reach into the middle to upper 80s along with increased humidity which will provide the chance for an isolated thunderstorm during the afternoon.

Wednesday through the remainder of the week expect above average temperatures as highs reach into the lower 90s with a heat index near 95°.

With high pressure in place the rain chances all week will be minimal with our next best chance for a shower or storm arriving late in the week with the next front.

With the hot conditions expected mid to late week make sure to drink extra fluids and wear light colored clothing to help keep cool.

Stay cool and have a great week.
