Scattered Showers For Eastern Carolina

It is very typical to see scattered afternoon and evening storms in August and this weekend will be no exception.

Temperatures will warm to near 90° during the afternoon which will likely help produce a few afternoon and evening thunderstorms.

Most of the storms will remain under the severe threshold but an isolated severe storm or two cannot be ruled out.

The main threats with any storm that does form will be heavy rain and gusty winds.

Any storms that do form will dissipate quickly during the evening.

Sunday will be very similar to Saturday.

Have a great weekend.
