Although much of the United States baked from heat and drought, there was a bit of good news. There were few tornadoes and no hurricanes during the entire month of July. During a normal July we see about 100 tornadoes across the Untied States. During the last month only 24 were reported but not all of them have been confirmed. The tropical season will kick into high gear during August with some tropical storms and hurricanes likely to develop over the next few weeks.
