The Heat Returns To Eastern Carolina On Thursday

The clouds and showers over the past few days will be replaced with more sunshine and hotter temperatures on Thursday. Highs will be close to 90° inland and middle to upper 80s on the beaches. The high relative humidity will take the heat index to about 100° during the afternoon. Only isolated afternoon storms are expected. Another cold front approaching from the north will likely increase shower activity by Friday afternoon and Saturday.
