A winter weather advisory has been issued for all of eastern Carolina except Carteret, Onslow, and Duplin counties from 6pm Thursday through 4am Friday. Light freezing rain and sleet will be possible.
Low pressure that brought the rain to our area Sunday slowly moved to the north on Monday. Leftover clouds and a few light showers dotted the area during the afternoon. The storm will continue to move away overnight followed by clearing skies by Tuesday morning. Lows will dip into the upper 30s well inland to 40s on the coast. We'll see partly sunny skies on Tuesday as highs hit the middle 60s. More sunshine and warmer conditions will head our way on Wednesday.
