Sunshine And Warm On Tuesday Across Eastern North Carolina

High pressure off the East Coast will continue to bring in a warm surge of air for Tuesday. Southwesterly winds will blow from 8 to 16 mph with gusts to 20 mph. Highs will reach the middle 80s inland and middle to upper 70s along the beaches. Mostly communities will see a decent amount of sunshine during the day. There is a slight risk of an afternoon or evening thunderstorm. More of the same can be expected later in the week. Temperatures will approach 90° both Thursday and Friday.
